Trash & Treasure Sale

The famous Northside Marine Trash & Treasure Sale is back! Over the years, Northside Marine and its suppliers accumulate old stock, run-out lines and more. Located in the large marquee in the carpark, this will be the spot to score a bargain.

With up to 60 percent off fishing rods, reels, water sports gear, boat parts, accessories, electronics, camping gear, factory seconds and much more, it’s going to be action packed like a school of tuna smashing baitfish. Can’t make it the first day? Never fear, there’s fresh stock each day. Following are some of the major brands you can check out at the festival.

Stacer

Stacer has kicked some serious goals over the past few years, and with continued improvements in its design and innovation, other brands have really struggled to keep up. Northside Marine will be displaying an extensive range of boats from the ever-popular Outlaw, ProLine, SeaSprite, SeaWay, BayMaster, EasyRider and SeaRunner ranges, which appeal to serious anglers and families alike.

The EVO Advance hull not only allows for a softer ride but also improves stability while at rest and under way. Add to this the ultra-reliable range of Yamaha outboard motors and you have one of the best packages money can buy.

Stabicraft

Stabicraft is New Zealand’s premier alloy boat manufacturer and in the past year has revamped the 6-7m offshore boat market with the latest 2050 Supercab and 2400 Supercab models, as well as facelifting other models. New slick cabin designs, arrow pontoons and the Game Chaser transom combine with the exceptional stability and safety standards for which Stabicraft is famous the world over.

Adventure with confidence is the Stabicraft promise and the new models certainly tick all the boxes for design, quality craftsmanship and safety like no other. Be sure to check out the latest models at the festival and find out more about the all-new Stabicraft 1600 Carbon Series.

Surtees

Surtees is a multi-award winning boat brand out of New Zealand. Northside Marine recently took out the 2015 International Surtees Dealer of the Year award. Surtees invented its now-patented ballast system many moons ago to improve the ride, stability and safety of its plate alloy hulls.

Rough weather in New Zealand created the necessity for underfloor ballast to give the boat a lower centre of gravity, which in turn improves handling in the worst conditions. Surtees is the brand that all other ballast boats are copied off, and since its inception, Surtees has added many new features to ensure they remain the benchmark by which all others are measured. The Surtees range is a must-see at the festival and you will undoubtedly be impressed by the latest and revamped 2015 range.

Whittley

Northside Marine will be displaying a superb range of Whittley Cruisers for the cruising aficionados who enjoy a dash of luxury on the water. The award-winning Whittley Sea Legends will also be on show for those hard-core fishers. These boats tick all the fishing boxes but still have the creature comforts of home.

Axis and Malibu

Wakeboard, wake surf and ski enthusiasts have not been left out, with an impressive range of Axis and Malibu boats on display at the festival. From the Malibu Response, which is ideally suited to skiing, to the Malibu Wakesetter VTX, which is a great crossover for those wanting a boat to ski and wake behind, the Malibu Wakesetter 23LSV, which provides the best wake in the business, and the all-new 2015 Wakesetter 22VLX, there is sure to be a boat to suit your needs.

These boats are Australian made to the highest standard of workmanship. Couple this with a great hull design and the optional and revolutionary Surf Gate and you will be popping wakes in no time to the envy of all your mates.

Yamaha Outboards

New Dragonfly range on display at the NSM festival

DEDICATED to advancing sonar technology for anglers, FLIR Systems has introduced seven new models that form the next generation of Raymarine’s Dragonfly product line.
The new Dragonfly range offers anglers advanced compressed high-intensity radar pulse sonar vision, superior colour displays and wireless mobile device integration.
The new Dragonfly range begins with the 4.3” Dragonfly 4 DV and the entire Dragonfly range uses wide-spectrum CHIRP DownVision sonar technology to give anglers photo-like images of fish and underwater objects.
Unlike conventional sonars that transmit a single frequency with each pulse, Dragonfly’s CHIRP sonar pulses across a wide spectrum of sonar frequencies simultaneously.
This wide-spectrum pulse produces much higher resolution and lifelike sonar images.
DragonFly
Dragonfly’s CHIRP DownVision technology also surpasses ordinary imaging sonars with superior deepwater performance to 180m and reliable high-speed bottom tracking.
And with its unique all-weather bright display, Dragonfly provides high-fidelity images under blazing sun or driving rain.
Anglers looking to step up to enhanced fish identification can choose the 4.3” Dragonfly 4 DVS or the 5” Dragonfly 5 DVS.
The DVS models feature CHIRP DownVision and a second conventional CHIRP sonar channel, optimised for locating fish targets.
Moving up from the DVS models are the Dragonfly 4 PRO and Dragonfly 5 PRO.
Dragonfly PRO models combine CHIRP DownVision and conventional CHIRP sonar with a fast 10Hz GPS for staying on course and internal Wi-Fi for streaming to mobile devices.
In addition to the Dragonfly 4 and 5 models, the new Wi-Fish sonar for mobile devices joins the Dragonfly range.
Built on the Dragonfly sonar platform, Wi-Fish is a black box wireless sonar designed to work exclusively with smartphones and tablets, letting fishers access CHIRP DownVision from anywhere on board.
Using Raymarine’s Wi-Fish mobile app, anglers can view, pause and rewind sonar imagery, making it easy to record your favourite fishing spots and share with friends online.
FLIR Maritime vice president and general manager Grégoire Outters said the first Dragonfly launched in 2013 was a breakthrough that let fishers see the underwater world with incredible fidelity.
“Now with the expanded and more attractively priced Dragonfly range we are making sure our high-performance CHIRP DownVision sonar technology is within reach of every fisher and boater.”
Dragonfly 4 PRO combo sounders will be on sale at the Northside Marine festival.
Grab one for the bargain price of $429 to experience the next level of sounder technology.
