Reminder: NSW Gone Fishing Day is on this Sunday, Oct 14 2018

IT doesn’t matter if you haven’t fished before or if you’re the keenest of anglers, Gone Fishing Day is for everyone!

NSW DPI is running FREE fishing events around the state as part of this great national initiative! Enjoy a great family day with loads of free fun-filled activities including how-to-fish sessions, casting comps, goodie bags with bonus fishing lures, fishing tip talks from experts, fish cooking demos, touch tanks, RMS boating safety stand plus loads of kids’ activities and activity marquees!

Snappy the crab mascot will also be handing out lots of cool prizes.

Over 60 fishing clubs are also running their own Gone Fishing Day events in their local areas – click on the image below for location details.

The NSW Government has removed the requirement to hold a recreational fishing licence on Gone Fishing Day to encourage new participants to take up the pastime.

If you have changed address since you last purchased your fishing licence, you can update your contact details by phoning 02 4424 7499 or email recfish.licensing@dpi.nsw.gov.au

You need to provide your licence number, name plus your new contact details. You can also update your contact details when you renew your licence online.
