Muggo’s Timber Lures at the Lure Expo

BORN and bred on the Dumaresq River at Texas, Queensland, Paul Muggleton from Muggo’s Lures has always had a strong passion for fishing.

He enjoyed having a go at making his own lures when he was kid, with some success. It wasn’t until his 20s that Paul decided to have another crack at making his own timber lures. This time, perseverance has paid off, with Paul having released five styles of timber lures in the past couple of years.

These have proven to be excellent cod and yellowbelly lures, with a few saltwater species also being taken on them. Paul will be making his first appearance at the Australian Lure Fly & Outdoors Expo this July.  He will be bringing his well-proven range of lures, including the Trunky shallow and medium-diving models, Beau Shrimp (and variations) and very popular Tess surface walker.

These lures are made from cedar timber with aluminium bibs. All lures are tank tested in Paul’s self-built 3m test tank before sale to ensure quality and a superb action.

You can find Muggo’s Lures on Facebook or come and say g’day to Paul and check out his lures at this year’s Lure Expo.
