Kawana beaches and offshore awesome

Hi there anglers,
We have just come to the end of four amazing days of great weather with people from all walks of life coming from far and wide to experience and enjoy the idealic lifestyle the sunshine coast has to offer, reports of great fishing have been pouring in from all over the region.
Stories have been emerging of entrants in the Rainbow beach family fishing competition weighing in some truly magnificent catches such as a 12.88kg red Emperor and a whopping 3.5kg Tusk fish and heaps of others, Caloundra 9 mile has been producing some quality Cobia and Grass Sweetlip and reports are coming in of Northern Barwon Banks are still turning up good bags of mixed Reef fish including Tusk fish, Moses Perch, Morwong and Sweetlip.

The Gneerings and Murpheys have been another great spot and it still seems burley is the key to catch some great fish off the bottom with some nice snapper falling to live baits and small 2/0 ganged pilchards.

The Mooloolaba rock wall has apparently been producing a lot of excitement with legal school mackerel and tailor being landed on ganged pilly’s amongst the big Bream flathead and winter whiting.
The Buddina Beaches have been turning up a good numbers of Bream and Dart to the fisherman with a keen eye for picking the gutters (deeper water) which are still a little hard to spot as they are not very deep and obvious at the moment. the fishing overall will not be favorable for the next day or so with swell and wind looking set to drop off by early Friday morning and hold through Saturday before turning southwesterly and picking up Saturday night.

We now have a Youtube Channel so jump on and check some of the informative video’s we are posting up. We would also consider adding any home video’s, of great action be it river, ocean or beach. Please keep it PG. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCiMyWsjGiFeTjRaWdTsQmnw
