ABT Casino Outdoor Bass Electric Grand Final

casino Over the past weekend the ABT Casino Outdoor Bass Electric Grand Final was held on the beautiful Richmond River at Coraki. This system is a tidal waterway that holds many different species but with bass being the target, over 30 Anglers took to the waters over 2 days to get the best 2 fish they could find.

It was a tough fish for many anglers struggling to crack a pattern in the upper reaches, but for the guys who had battery range it was game on! Joseph Urquhart and Peter Bostock made a big run 2.5 hours  South!

They found fish here in pre fish and knowing that they were biting hard here over the 2 days of the tournament. From start to finish it was on! Catching over 150 fish each day between 3 boats. Many fish were around the 500-600g mark but with persistence they both managed to put together some great bags.

To great success Peter put together a combined bag of 3.85kg and took out first place landing himself a beautiful Motor Guide Electric motor and a Green Energy battery, over $2500 worth of prizes! We want to congratulate Peter on his win it was well deserved .

In a close second was the man who runs the events, Joseph Urquhart. He also went south and fished next to Peter. They both caught multiple species of fish using blades, jigs and plastics. Joey put a great bag together of 3.56kg with 2 cracking fish on day 2. Joseph had one of the best years in the history of his electrics career and to top it off he took home the Angler of the Year Award (AOY)

From everyone one of us in the Bass electric circuit we would like to thank all the sponsors for the year. Joey for all his contributions to the sport, Casino Outdoors for another great year of support and amazing products! And ABT for the ongoing generosity from your own time to prizes.

You guys do a great job

And lastly well done to everyone who qualified and competed in the 2019 Casino Outdoors Bass Electric Series and a big congratulations to the winners and Joey on the AOY !!
