25th Anniversary Wilson Moreton Bay & Offshore Family Fishing Challenge

PREPARATIONS for the 25th anniversary of the Wilson Moreton Bay & Offshore Family Fishing Challenge are well under way, with prizes being organised and allocated to various categories and final planning taking place.

Our major sponsor Wilson Fishing is providing a prize for every junior entrant as well as more excellent prizes for the event. Loads of great prizes will be donated by other sponsors.

The Challenge continues to provide entertainment for competitors, whether they are serious hard-core fishos or novices just having a bit of fun and hoping to win something.

The major prize for seniors is a Sea Jay 4.25 Magnum2 boat supplied by Stones Corner Marine and wrapped by Bonza Graphics. Juniors are in the running for two kayaks and a $500 gift card donated by BCF Capalaba.

Competitors don’t even have to weigh in a fish to be eligible to win because these major prizes are lucky draws. Heaps of prizes are up for grabs in the daily pick of the board, daily magazine draw, business card draw and there’s even one for the most distance travelled to attend the event.

Categories include seniors, womens, juniors, Catch and Release Largest Flathead, Secret Weight and Inshore and Offshore Grand Slams.

Several raffles will be held over the weekend and a 110-litre Waeco Esky full of prizes will be drawn on the last day.

The Challenge bar will be open for drinks after a hard day’s fishing and entertainment will be available for the kids. A variety of food will be available, including a sausage sizzle and coffee stall.

If you are looking for a fun-filled weekend, come along and join us in celebrating our 25th year of providing a great event for the Redlands community from June 3-5, 2016.
