Lake Moondarra Fishing 2015 Classic Fireworks

ONE of the most popular aspects of the annual Lake Moondarra Fishing Classic, the Fireworks Spectacular is undergoing a changing of the guard in 2015, with local business Ausure Insurance & Finance taking on the naming rights sponsorship.

Snapping up the opportunity after long-time supporters GE Mining relinquished the rights, Ausure Insurance & Finance Mount Isa owners Scott and Annette Abraham are proud and excited to partner with the event.

“As a proud locally owned and operated business, we pride ourselves on supporting local events; and the annual Fishing Classic is one of our favourites as keen fishing fans,” Scott said. “Along with our children we religiously fish at the Classic through the day and unwind on the bank watching the fireworks on the Saturday night.

“Seeing the crowds it draws and the enjoyment it brings, we knew straight away that we wanted to be associated with the show and support the fish stocking group to bring it to a reality.”
Scheduled for 8pm on the Saturday evening of the Fishing Classic, the Ausure Insurance & Finance Fireworks Spectacular will be mirrored over the waters of the lake and best viewed from the main competition site at Black Rock Park.

A truly unique experience, the Fireworks Spectacular will support the long list of entertainment on the three-day schedule of the 2015 Clancy Corporation Lake Moondarra Fishing Classic to be hosted from October 23 to 25.
