Get set for the Explore Australia Expo this Father’s Day weekend

EXPLORE Australia Expo, the premier outdoor and adventure event is about to give visitors an experience like no other, with an action-packed three days at Doomben Racecourse this weekend from September 2-4.

The expo brings together the best of Australia’s outdoor industries in an event featuring a host of activities, educational platforms and challenges, delivering a truly interactive experience – all of which are designed to satisfy your thirst for adventure! Last year, over 18,000 visitors at Manly Boat Harbour experienced three days of non-stop action – and this year, exhibitors will be on hand at Doomben Racecourse to showcase the latest products, services and destinations for 4WD, camping, fishing, adventure and more.

The amazing Argo Amphibious ATV will be put through its paces on the Adventure Track, offering live demos and rides to the public. After recently travelling 8000km in 10 weeks through Arnhem Land for her latest series, TV presenter Penny Wells from Top of Down Under will showcase her impressively set-up LandCruiser and XTERRA camper at the Ultimate Campers stand. A range of standard, modified and extreme 4WD vehicles will perform a range of demos, with tutorials on everything from safe winching, diff locks and suspension, to snatch strap and driving techniques.

Additionally, Motorcycling Queensland, in conjunction with Mike Hatcher Junior Motorcycle Club (Gold Coast) and Kilcoy Motocross Club will hold a special demonstration with some of the club’s rising young stars as they demonstrate motocross and flat track skills on a range of off-road motorcycles and quad bikes.

Explore Australia Exhibitions director and event manager Paul Morgan reckons this event is shaping up to be one of the best outdoor and adventure expos in Queensland this year. “We have so much on offer this year,” he said. “The adrenalin-charged Adventure Track will have demonstrations by Motorcycling Queensland, the Enduro Club as well as ‘off-road’ racers, and a range of 4×4 tutorials. Rod Train, an 18m prime mover set up to showcase a huge display of quality fishing gear, is the world’s largest mobile fishing tackle store! And we also have the spectacular Berkley Super Fishing Tank, which will give visitors a real ‘fish’s eye’ view of different fishing techniques. The 2016 Expo will also see the return of the TJM 4×4 Megastore 4WD Club Corner, where visitors have the chance to meet local 4×4 club representatives, and the popular XXXX Gold Beer Garden. There’ll be plenty of activities to keep the kids amused, and visitors will have access to heaps of great deals at exhibition stands as well.”

As part of the show, Evakool will be offering specials on its entire range of portable refrigeration and iceboxes, and New Age Caravans will be offering incredible specials on all caravans, stock or
orders, with factory rebates available. The company is also offering free solar on all caravan purchases. Tuff Bullbars Australia and Pocket Power Australia have some great Father’s Day deals on offer and Southern Cross Fabworks has a tonne of giveaways as part of the show, with prizes for most popular 4×4 vehicles. Every visitor through the gate will have the chance to enter major prize draws, including a TJM Explorers Pack valued at $6000, thanks to TJM 4×4 Megastore, and an Ironman Deluxe Bullbar valued at $1300, thanks to Adventure Offroad.
