Learn how to cook your catch at National 4×4 Outdoors Show, Fishing & Boating Expo

PORTABLE fridge-freezer manufacturer Engel Australia will return as a sponsor of the National 4×4 Outdoors Show, Fishing & Boating Expo when it comes to the Brisbane Showgrounds from March 31-April 2.

The Engel Australia Catch and Cook Stage will combine the popular Fishing Stage and Campfire Cooking Stage for the first time ever at the event, featuring many of the Show’s favourite special guests and experts from the fishing and outdoors industries sharing their tips and tricks on how to hook a great catch, and how to cook up some tasty campfire and fishing meals.

Hosting for the weekend will be ex-AFL star, Peter ‘Spida’ Everitt, star of hit TV show The Great Australian Doorstep who will also show off his culinary skills with his ‘Stove on the Road’ segment.

Learn some great tricks for cooking up a tasty campfire meal using portable cooking equipment and sample some of Spida’s cooking creations all throughout the three Show days. The Engel Australia team will be on stage with Spida throughout the Show providing handy tips on food storage, what to pack and space saving ideas while on the road.

For some great angling tips – whether you’re new to fishing or it’s a favourite pastime – don’t miss fishing guru, Paul Worsteling, on stage with his ‘Talking Fishing’ segment. Host of TV’s IFISH program, Paul will be giving talks several times a day, so all fishing fans should ensure they schedule in a session with Paul during their visit to the Show.

Australia’s best-known fishing writer Steve ‘Starlo’ Starling will be sharing his fishing secrets on the Engel Australia Catch & Cook Stage, while Brisbane local Paul Burt will be sharing his expert fishing and cooking advice in his ‘Catch, Clean and Cook with Burty’ sessions, and host of The Fishing Show (AFN) Nige Webster will be giving a masterclass on how to catch more fish – from mackerel and snapper to coral trout.

Each special guest will provide a wealth of fantastic tips, industry secrets, exciting tales from their own adventures, and invaluable advice for those planning their next adventure.

Engel Australia will be showcasing their full range of products at the National 4×4 Outdoors Show, Fishing & Boating Expo, including the new Drawer Fridge, suited to everything from camping to 4×4. Visitors to the Show will have the opportunity to see the fridge in action on the Engel Australia Catch & Cook Stage.
